IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT CHANGE

about matthew's process

I use Counselling to assess the issue. This then allows me to establish where the issue originated from, understand why it exists and identify the factors enabling it to continue. This process enables you to get a better understanding of your behaviour and allows me to form a therapy strategy to change this behaviour and achieve your goal.

I then usually use Hypnotherapy to promote this change.

From the Counselling, I can then tailor the suggestions under Hypnosis specific to your individual needs which then promotes a higher rate of long term success.

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in promoting change easily, effortlessly and effectively.

The combination of these two types of Therapy provides a very personalised experience that promotes positive long term behavioural change for each individual.

In my professional opinion, the combination of Hypnotherapy and Counselling provide a Therapy result which has much greater benefit compared to using these techniques separately.

about hypnotherapy

So, what is hypnosis and hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is simply a form of deep relaxation, like meditation. The person is still aware of the physical surroundings but more responsive to suggestions.

Hypnotherapy is where suggestions are given under hypnosis to achieve a client’s specific goal, such as reducing anxiety or increasing confidence.

Once under hypnosis, suggestions are placed in the deeper part of the mind, the subconscious. Once they are placed there, they are used automatically without having to think about them.

How does it work?

How do we do things without having to think it or will it?

This process happens to every individual throughout their life, but more often than not are unaware of it. For example, you learn how to ride a bike in your childhood, but may not ride for many years. Then when you ride when you are older, you simply get on and just do it, with little or any thought of steering, peddling or weight distribution. You just do it automatically, as this learning is in your subconscious.

The same applies to beliefs that are learnt in the conscious or cognitive part of the mind. Once these are used and reused they form our beliefs, are placed in the subconscious and so used automatically. For example, your confidence, or lack of it is a belief. They get used automatically, with little thought. You either feel confident within yourself or you don’t.

As a Hypnotherapist, it enables me to reduce or remove unwanted beliefs and so unwanted behaviours. Replacing them with more effective and positive beliefs and behaviours that the Client wants. Once these new beliefs are implanted in the subconscious, they are used automatically. No willpower is needed.

Hypnotherapy allows you to change your behaviour easily, effortlessly and effectively.
